Here are a couple of videos that feature me and my Aunt Ellen, among others (my dad mostly). The first is Dad and Ellen talking about nothing much in my Grandmother's kitchen. I'm ni the background beating up a small child.
The second is Dad narrating while he videos trees and Ellen, then some weirdo intrudes. Filmed at a camp ground on Buttle Lake (which is either right near or inside Strathcona Park).

Starfish
In Sointula, when I went crabbing, as described in Catching Crabs the Not Fun Way, I hauled a massive starfish from the water. The following is said starfish feebly trying to escape us. It was freed unharmed, though significantly away from the crab traps, later.

Crossing the Rockies
Here is another video, this one from the plane as I was flying from Toronto to Vancouver - the plane that didn't have my luggage in it...
15th of May - I think. I'm too lazy to check so will just have to assume that I'm right. Was definitely a Tuesday.

Loss
While I was at a session on queer theory in Sir Gawain (which was a waste of time, though the only time I actually contributed to a questions session - if a touch rudely with a list of corrections on what the presenter had had wrong) other people were at the session I actually wanted to be at.
Fortunately I'm just being jealous at a stranger....
If I ever go to the Zoo again, I'm going to the fun looking sessions - professionalism be damned.

Niagara Falls video
The following clips are both from my day in Niagara - in case the big ugly falls didn't tip you off. Both are on the maid of the mist. The first was me checking I could, in fact, make a video. The latter is a closeup on the Canadian falls from underneath - filmed through my Maid in the Mist plastic anorak to prevent the camera melting like the wicked witch of the west.

The Photo Journal o'Doom

Hmmm, this is already getting to be big and I'm still on the first day of photos, time I work out how to make them smaller.

Impressed me much more than Niagara had.
And so should I, now that I've eaten more of your bandwidth than you were expecting. Photo journal complete.
All photos available in 6 megapixel on request.
